This is the time of year we start thinking about the new horizons ahead. The good news is, each of us holds the power to choose which horizon will guide and inspire us.
Many wise people have shared their opinions about horizons, so I thought I’d share a few of them. In no certain order they are:
“I work from a position of positivity always. I don’t dwell on negativity, and I always believe something better’s on the horizon.” Joe Maddon
“The health of the eye seems to demand a horizon. We are never tired, so long as we can see far enough.” Ralph Waldo Emerson
“The manager has his eye on the bottom line; the leader has his eye on the horizon.” Warren Bennis
“Where there is no vision, the people perish.” Proverbs 29:18
“A well-ordered life is like climbing a tower; the view halfway up is better than the view from the base, and it steadily becomes finer as the horizon expands.” William Lyon Phelps
“You must learn day by day, year by year, to broaden your horizon. The more things you love, the more you are interested in, the more you enjoy.” Ethel Barrymore
“When good things are on the horizon, you keep walking towards the sun.” Curtis Tyrone Jones
For many of us, this is the season for celebrating hope and light. It can be illuminating to both our personal and professional lives as well to focus on the possibilities in front of us.
Whatever your future horizon, may it lead you to clarity and prosperity in the New Year.
Thank you for allowing me to be part of your world in 2021. I deeply appreciate your trust and friendship.
Happy holidays!
